A New Office for Benjamin Andrew Construction

Office Foyer-BAC

We are excited to finally share the transformation of our new office.

Built in 1956 as a dental office, this building has now become the home of Benjamin Andrew Construction. From the beginning, we knew we wanted the renovation to respect the era it came from rather than completely change its identity.

That led us toward keeping the classic 1950s mid-century modern style and gave us a clear direction for the interior.

Designing With the Building’s History in Mind

One of the most rewarding parts of this renovation has been finding ways to make the space feel new while still honoring what made the building special in the first place.

We paid close attention to the details throughout the office, including the bathroom tile, finishes, and the 1950s foyer. Each space was designed to feel appropriate for the age and character of the building while still functioning well for our team today.

The office is still a work in progress. We are continuing to search for mid-century furniture, artwork, and décor that feel like the right fit, and we are enjoying the process of adding those pieces over time.

In a lot of ways, that has made the renovation feel even more personal. We did not want to rush through the finishing touches just to say the space was complete. We would rather find pieces that belong here.

A Building Admired for Years

For Ben, this building carried significance long before it became our office.

Ben grew up in Cumming, Georgia, and had admired the building long before it ever became part of the company’s story. Over the years, he often mentioned how much he liked it and how meaningful it would be to own it someday.

One day, while talking about the building with Hannah, they realized it was available for lease. They reached out to the owner and were given the opportunity to make it the new home of Benjamin Andrew Construction.

After years of admiring it from a distance, getting the chance to restore the building and work from it every day made the opportunity especially rewarding.

Bringing New Life to an Existing Space

Renovation projects are often about seeing the potential in a space that already has a story.

For us, this office became an opportunity to do exactly that. We were able to improve the functionality of the building, bring in our own design perspective, and preserve the character that made us appreciate it in the first place.

It has also been a good reminder of why we enjoy remodeling and renovation work so much. Existing spaces come with history, quirks, and limitations, but those details can also become some of the most interesting parts of the finished result.

We are proud of how far the office has come, and we are looking forward to continuing to make it our own.

There are still a few art and furniture pieces left to find and details to finish, so we will be sharing more as the space continues to come together.
